Unfortunately on a regular basis we hear horror stories about ‘professional’ drivers transporting clients when not all the necessary requirements are met to a satisfactory level. You don’t want your company to make these types of headlines. Making sure your driver has a license in good standing, appropriate to the run they are about to make, is the first and most simple thing to verify. The second step in the process you should check thoroughly is, the driver’s history both professional and personal: check the driving history for suspensions, tickets and any other violations, as well as an extensive criminal background check. Fourth is the interview. Check their customer service skills, by running through a scenario when your potential driver’s skill set will be put to the test. In these situations where a driver is more often than not the face of your company, it is better to be safe than sorry.
